Covid19 hit the film industry even as hard as the event industry. But instead of cancelling the award-show “Deutscher Musikautor*innenpreis”, our client GEMA decided to do an online version of it.
To produce films and photos for the 12 different categories, we had the extraordinary experience to travel all around germany and shoot with VIPs of the music industry.
The visual identity of the “Deutscher Musikautor*innenpreis” should have been consistent but also glamorous. So we created a shiny graphical identity, which corresponded to different props / set-design-elements.
The assets for all 12 award-categories were rendered with 3D-elements. It consisted of lower thirds, intros and outros for our videos.
In addition to the video part of the production, we created portraits of all nominees and award winners. The assignment was to create a colorful and intense setting where the glamour of receiving an award is feelable.
To give the colorful images an extra kick, we added confetti-shooters to the scene. With this special-effect, we were able to emphasize the festive character of the pre-production.
In order to make a livestream more plannable and give the most quality to the audience, we pre-produced an entire live-performance of the artist “Mine” with her band.
Our task was to capture the whole performance with 9 cameras, record all audiochannels separately and deliver them for mixing & mastering. After receiving the final audiomaster, we compiled a multicam-edit and rendered the whole movie for playback.
